The fundraising event for the New York Association for the blind is Saturday October 13, 2012. Riding a 6 mile course in New York City from 23rd Street up to 79th Street.
Pottery Class
After a hard day of work as a NYC Social Worker doing something creative!
A friend of mine Barbara, who was also a colleague of mine who sat next to me in the office, told me about her friend who had a pottery workshop. I asked to join and here's a picture of me with a vase that I was working on.

I also like to see or should I say listen to Broadway shows, go to concerts and see (listen) to movies. The most recent movie I saw was "Lincoln." It was wonderful and I would highly recommend going to see it.
I went to see "Newsies" on Broadway recntly. This was a special adapted audio descriptive performance designed to enhance the theater going experience for the blind and viusally impaired. There was a narrator in the pit who described all the scenery and costumes as we listened to the actors on stage. So we really did not miss anything because we had a blow by blow description of the action. This was accomplished through little radios with headphones that they leant to us prior to the start of the show.
